11x14 oil on canvas board. 2017
A gift for my very good friend Carl. This is a portrait of his dog Lucy. Who, by the way, is the best fishing dog I've ever seen. She's often in the boat on our fishing trips. The second pic is of her with her portrait!

16x20 oil on canvas panel 2009
One of my favorite paintings. Inspired by a gravestone I saw in the Utica Cemetery ( Michigan ). See pic. This painting also reminds me of my three brothers who all died as young men in their 20's and 30's. The personalities of the cats remind me of the personalities of my brothers.
Collection of the artist.
This is a copy I made of C. Fabritius famous painting from 1665. I painted this in 2024. There is a book and a movie about this painting, both are excellent. I painted it the exact size of the original on a wood panel the same thickness as the original.

"Cats are cool and they don't even stink!" Inspired by what my wife said when we got a new kitten.

These two paintings were always a pair. They are our two cats when they were kittens. I gave these paintings as a gift to my lovely niece Ariel, who has a cat and has a way with cats that is magic!

I love this painting - the cat looks like my cat Sugar (AKA Hobo, Bob, Little Bob, Bump, and her Viking name- Hobo Longclaw). I love this frame too. Found it at a junk store.
